In Citymapper, bounding boxes are used to delineate various elements, such as road markings, lanes, traffic signs, and street lights, within the 360° Viewer. By adjusting the bounding box of an element, users can create a more precise crop of the element, ensuring that its display and analysis are accurate and useful. This capability is particularly important when working with elements that may overlap or be located close to one another, as it helps to prevent confusion and ensure the correct interpretation of the map data.
To change an element's bounding box and by extension, its crop it must :
Select an element on citymapper
Click on the crop to open the viewer
Click on the + button in the bottom right corner of the viewer
Left-click to start the new bounding box square
Left-click again to validate the bounding box
The element's crop will be automatically updated
